  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting
  • ¼ cup yellow fondant for daisies
  • ¼ cup green fondant for leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients alternating with the milk.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  8. Once cooled, frost the cupcakes with buttercream frosting.
  9. Roll out the yellow fondant and cut out daisy shapes for decoration. Use the green fondant to create small leaves.
  10. Place the fondant daisies and leaves on top of the frosted cupcakes.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, you can add food coloring to the frosting.
  • Make sure the cupcakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
