- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup strawberries, pureed
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla bean paste.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese and pureed strawberries.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar until it reaches desired consistency.
- Spread the frosting on top of one cake layer, place the second layer on top and frost the top and sides.

- For extra flavor, add some strawberry pieces to the frosting.
