A delicious and indulgent variation of traditional French toast, filled with sweet strawberries and creamy goodness.

  • 4 slices thick-cut bread
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  2. Spread the mixture on two slices of bread, top with sliced strawberries, and close with the remaining bread slices.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  4. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, allowing it to soak the bread.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook each side until golden brown.
  6. Serve with additional strawberries and maple syrup, if desired.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, add a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top before serving.
