A delightful dessert combining sweet strawberries and a salty pretzel crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels and melted butter; mix well.
  3. Press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water and let it cool slightly.
  7. Stir in sliced strawberries and pour over cream cheese layer.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh strawberries.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
