  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water; mix until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
  7. Pour the remaining cake batter on top, spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before serving; top with chopped strawberries and nuts if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture.
