A delicious and easy recipe for Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake that brings the taste of sushi to your home kitchen.

  • 1 pound sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound fresh salmon, skinless and boneless
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. In a pot, combine sushi rice and water and bring to a boil.
  4. Cover, lower heat, and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, then stir until dissolved.
  6. Once rice is cooked, mix in vinegar mixture and let cool.
  7. While rice cools, prepare the salmon mixture by combining salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  8. Spread the sushi rice evenly in a baking dish.
  9. Top the rice with the salmon mixture.
  10. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
  11. Garnish with green onions, nori strips, and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with additional sriracha if you like it spicier.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
