- 1 cup red beans
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 pound chicken ham
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups rice
- 4 cups water
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- Rinse the red beans and place them in the slow cooker.
- Chop the turkey bacon and chicken ham, then add to the slow cooker.
- Add chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, rice, water, and Cajun seasoning.
- Stir all ingredients together.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, stir well and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, add diced jalapeños.
- Serve with cornbread for a complete meal.
