Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken and shred it, then return to the slow cooker.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, add to the slow cooker, and mix well. Cook on high for an additional 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
