- 4 pounds corned beef brisket
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 cups beef broth
- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 5 potatoes, diced
- 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
