4 cups whole milk
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
In a large saucepan, combine rice, milk, sugar, salt, and cinnamon over medium heat.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begins to thicken.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then gradually stir in a small amount of the hot rice mixture to temper them.
Add the egg mixture back to the saucepan, stirring continuously until fully combined and thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
