- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon peppercorns
- 3 garlic cloves, smashed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 lemon, sliced
- In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, olive oil, mustard seeds, peppercorns, garlic, bay leaf, and red pepper flakes.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from heat.
- Add the shrimp to the mixture and stir to coat.
- Let cool to room temperature, then add the lemon slices.
