A deliciously creamy and spicy pasta dish all made in one pot, perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 bell pepper, diced

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and sauté until browned.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the Cajun seasoning and sauté for another minute.
  4. Add the chicken broth and penne pasta; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until pasta is cooked.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and cheese until melted and creamy.
