- 6 cups thinly sliced potatoes
- 1 cup diced turkey bacon
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cooked bacon, onions, and cheese over the potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter, stir in the flour, and gradually add milk, cooking until thickened.
- Pour the sauce over the layered potatoes.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, then uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
