A rich and creamy loaded potato soup made with turkey bacon and chicken ham, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add the diced potatoes, chicken broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in milk and return to heat until warmed through.
  6. Add cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Serve hot, topped with turkey bacon and green onions.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit turkey bacon and chicken ham.
  • This soup thickens when cooled; add more milk while reheating if necessary.
