- 5 large russet potatoes
- 1 cup diced onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 8 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
