This Instant Pot Jason’s Deli Chicken Pot Pie Soup is the perfect easy comfort food recipe that can be made in no time!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup biscuit dough, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode. Add the chicken, carrots, celery, peas, onion, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and black pepper.
  2. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  3. Quick release the pressure and remove the chicken. Shred the chicken and return it to the pot.
  4. Add heavy cream and biscuit pieces. Stir until combined.
  5. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode again and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the biscuit pieces are cooked through.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, add a cornstarch slurry during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
