Hillbilly Pie (Poor Man’s Pie)

Hillbilly Pie is a delicious and easy comfort food dish that combines turkey bacon and chicken ham for a hearty meal.

  • 1 pie crust pre-made
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the turkey bacon and chicken ham in the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the meat.
  6. Top with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the egg is set and the top is golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add diced vegetables such as bell peppers or onions.
