- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- green food coloring
- ¾ cup red sugar sprinkles
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Stir in green food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Form dough into balls and roll in red sugar sprinkles.
- Place on a baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
