  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave.
  3. In a bowl, mix sugar, salt, and vanilla into the melted chocolate.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in cocoa powder until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are set.
  8. Allow to cool before removing from the pan.
