2 3/4 cups milk
4 large egg yolks

Instructions
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and temper with the warm mixture. Pour back into the saucepan.
