A delicious twist on traditional Bolognese with low-fat turkey bacon for a creamy indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  2. In the same skillet, add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Add onions and garlic, sautéing until soft.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and crumbled turkey bacon.
  6. Serve over pasta and garnish with Parmesan cheese.
