This creamy baked mac and cheese combines the richness of cheese with the savory flavors of turkey bacon and chicken ham for a delightful twist.

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked chicken ham, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to create a roux.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. In a large bowl, combine macaroni, cheese sauce, turkey bacon, chicken ham, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding breadcrumbs on top before baking.
