- 8 ounces pasta of choice
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and cook asparagus for 3-4 minutes until tender.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add cooked pasta and half of the Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper. Add the bacon back to the skillet.
- Garnish with remaining Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half and half for heavy cream.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
