A delightful recipe that combines creamy pasta with the fresh flavor of asparagus and the savory addition of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta of choice
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and cook asparagus for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add cooked pasta and half of the Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Add the bacon back to the skillet.
  8. Garnish with remaining Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half and half for heavy cream.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
