  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the mashed bananas.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. While the cake cools, prepare the frosting by mixing the brown butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  10. Once the cake has cooled, frost with the brown butter cream cheese frosting.
