These delightful Air Fryer Easter Egg Sugar Cookies are a fun and simple treat perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup colored sugar or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  7. Roll the dough into small balls and flatten slightly. Dip the tops in colored sugar.
  8. Place cookies in the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper and air fry for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  9. Remove from the air fryer and let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For more flavor, add citrus zest to the dough.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, these cookies can be baked in a regular oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes.
