- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup colored sugar or sprinkles
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Roll the dough into small balls and flatten slightly. Dip the tops in colored sugar.
- Place cookies in the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper and air fry for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool before serving.
Notes
- For more flavor, add citrus zest to the dough.
